STRESS MANAGEMENT

The modern western lifestyle is incredibly hectic, draining and overstimulating.  Stress can be a healthy response to events in our life however prolonged periods of stress places the mind and body under constant duress leading to physiological changes in our emotional and mental health.

Acupuncture and/or Chinese Medicine herbs are both an integral part of Chinese Medicine Practice, which may help patients to manage a range of symptoms including stress, pain and fatigue.  Some people turn to alcohol, caffeine, drugs, sleeping pills and antidepressants to help but they often only provide limited and short term relief, and exacerbate the adrenal and stress response.

 

Whilst is not always possible to eliminate stressors or change the circumstances in a person’s life, Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine may be able to help relieve the symptoms of stress and empower people to cope with life from a more balanced perspective.
